'Zion Inquire About the Welfare of Your Illegal Immigrants' - Jerusalem, 1939, Rare Publication

"Jew! Remember your brother who escaped from the internment camp and who wandered in the sea with no shelter! Help to get him settled in his birthplace!" A rare publication which was published on the eve of the Holocaust in 1939, by the 'Pidyn Shevuyim Jerusalem', and was intended to inform the public about the Nazi threat and the required aid to those escaping from occupied Europe to Israel. The title page depicts a Jew with his arms stretched out upward and illegal immigrants in a ship - designed by Esther Berlin - Yoel [signed on the plate]. Hauman printing press. Hebrew,  English and German.

The publication begins with the poem of V.H. Oden - 'Zamar' which describes the impending Nazi threat and the necessary haste - to escape [in three languages: Hebrew, English and German]. On the rear side of the leaves are three pictures, one of 'Jews in Germany' in which Jews are seen in prisoner uniforms with a personal number, the second 'On the Way' - an illegal immigrant ship at sea, and the third 'Immigrants' - on their way to Israel, and the request to aid 'your bother who has escaped from the internment camp' to Israel, in three languages.

[8] pages. 21 cm. Stains. Fine condition.
