Rabbi Yosef Messas - Collection of Letters and Pictures

Four letters in Rabbi Yosef Messas's handwriting and with his signature and personal stamp. Letters dated 1966, 1967, 1970.  The letters were addressed to the secretary of the city of Haifa, Mr. Moshe Rofeh, letters wishing a full recovery and appreciation. In one of the letters, Rabbi Messas refers to the secretary's wife, and that he was unable to visit during her illness: "Apologize to your honored wife on my behalf, as I did not visit her in the hospital or at home as I also suffered very much in the great cold that passed, and only my clean conscience sustained me in that I didn't cancel my enormous work schedule towards old age ...." Also, New Year's greetings appear on a "Shana Tova" card that Rabbi Messas wrote in designed and colored letters with his signature. The original envelopes in which letters were sent are included [which are also written in Rabbi Messas' handwriting].
