'Kometz HaMincha' on the Torah - the Copy of Rabbi Moshe Aryeh Freund - Av Beit Din of Jerusalem

Kometz HaMincha on the Torah - commentaries and homilies in the Pardes approach by Rabbi Aryeh Leib Tzintz of Plotsk, Romania, 1938. On the leaves before and after the title page are several ownership stamps of Rabbi Moshe Aryeh Freund. One stamp from when he was Av Beit Din of Satmar, and the second from when he was Ga'avad of the Eida Chareidit in the Land of Israel. The stamps also appear on the last page in the middle of the book and at its end. 

Rabbi Moshe Aryeh Freund [1904-1996] was born in Hungary to Rabbi Yisrael Freund, Rabbi of the city of Hunyad. His wife and ten sons were murdered in the Holocaust. For a short time he served as Rabbi of the city of Satmar. Immigrated to Israel and was appointed as the Rosh Yeshiva of the "Yitav Lev" yeshiva of the Satmar chassidim in Jerusalem. In 1989 he was appointed as Gavad of the Eida Chareidt following the death of the 'Minchat Yitzchak', Rabbi Yitzchak Yaakov Weiss.
