A photograph of the workers of the Jaffa Oranges factory while packing. Early 20th century.
'Jaffa Oranges' is the name for the oranges which grew in Israel, and dates back to the early 20th century when the oranges were grown by Arab workers from Jaffa. The name received legal protection during the British Mandate, when the 'Citrus Marketing Board' was founded.
