'Kol Nidrei' on Yom Kippur – a Large, Unique Photograph – the 1930's

An original photograph of the 'Kol Nidrei' prayer on Yom Kippur at the "Bikkuer Cholim Ha'Yashan" Synagogue of Seattle, USA. The 1930's.
The photograph shows the members of the Jewish community of Seattle standing in their prayer shawls. The rabbi is standing beside the Bimah at the center of the synagogue with two prominent members of the community beside him, holding Torah Scrolls. In the 'Mizrach' are additional prominent members of the community and the cantor wearing his special hat.
A unique, rare photograph. Authentic photographs of the impressive event of 'Kol Nidrei' are practically nonexistent due to the holiness of Yom Kippur, which prohibits taking photographs. However, such a photograph was taken – most likely by a non-Jewess who stood in the ladies section of the synagogue which overlooks the synagogue. Thus, the rare event was documented ninety years ago.
