A. Long historical letter handwritten by David Ben Gurion. [From 19.12.65]. The letter is addressed to Ben Zion [Dinur? An author and historian who was the Minister of Education of Ben Gurion's government].
In the letter, Ben Gurion describes in detail "The Lavon Affair" of the 1960's and his objection to the board of inquiry, since it consisted of ministers with no legal jurisdiction. He also blames Eshkol of deliberately miscarrying justice in order to acquit Lavon. He then elaborates on the reasons for his resigning the government in June 1963.
An interesting, rare, historical document.
Four leaves written on one of their sides. 19.5 cm. Condition: Good. The margins of two pages are torn, with no damage to text.

B. Interesting letter handwritten by Ben Gurion to Mordechai Ya'akobowitz. [From 28.10.64] with seven paragraphs in which he describes his basic attitude towards several important issues on the agenda:
1. His not caring what the public thinks of him: "… I do not care what people say or write about me, for better or for worse, I do what my mind and conscience tell me to do …"
2. The attitude towards Germany and the Reparations Agreement. "I say that Germany is different".
3. The disagreement with the right-winged Abba Achimeir.
4. A comment regarding the commanders in chief of the IDF.
5. His attitude towards Isser Be'eri who had misled him.
6. Justifies the right to criticize a serving prime minister (meaning the criticism of Eshkol).
7. Against the claim of certain leaders (meaning Eshkol) that they speak on behalf of the public.
2 leaves written on one of their sides. 20 cm. Condition: Good.

C. A letter of response handwritten and signed by Ben Gurion, to Yosef Givoli, the director of the Northern area of the Jewish Agency, who had asked him to support Eshkol. Ben Gurion refuses and states that Eshkol is not fit to be Prime Minister and Defense Minister and should be succeeded by Moshe Dayan.
The letter was sent on 6.6.67, a day after the outbreak of the Six-Day-War! An important letter! (Enclosed are also Givoli's letter and a copying of Ben Gurion's response, both on a stencil leaf).
One page. 20 cm. Condition: Good. The margins are torn with no damage to text.
