The Psalms of David Owen Jones, 1861-62 [?], England, English.
The illustrator Owen Jones (1809-1874) was an English-born Welsh architect. A versatile architect and designer, he was also one of the most influential design theorists of the nineteenth century. He helped pioneer modern color theory and his theories on flat patterning and ornament still resonate with contemporary designers today.

100 pp. with colorful Chromolithographs [a unique method for preparing multi-colored prints]. The leaves are illustrated in red, blue, black and gold.
