Important and rare!
Black-and-white engravings describing the Jewish life cycle during the late 18th century: Brit Milah, wedding, burial, the reading of the Torah on Sabbath, Sukkot and Passover. On the margins of the engravings, French and Italian explanations. In the title , a Hebrew quotation from the Torah and the Talmud. German preface by Otto Ebstein [2 pp.].
By Noveli Francesco (1764-1836) a Venetian artist. The engravings were made by Antonio Baratti, Berlin-Charlottenburg, 1727.

Condition: each engraving is on a complete page and in excellent condition. Thick, high-quality paper. Time stains. In an original cardboard binder. Original, colorful cloth is glued onto the cardboard cover. A few time stains on the binding. An original sticker is glued onto the cloth with a Hebrew and German inscription: "Mitzvot U'Minhagei Ha'Yehudim" [The Mitzvot and customs of the Jews].
