Rabbi Akiva Yosef Schlesinger (1838-1922), a disciple of the Ktav Sofer, the Mahram Schick and the "Machaneh Chaim", a halachic genius and rabbinical leader. Married the daughter of Rabbi Hillel Lichtenstein. He zealously led the struggle against reform and modernism; yet also greatly loved the Land of Israel and its settlement. He was one of the first who actively acted to buy lands and develop the agriculture of the country.
Extremely rare! Is not listed by the Bibliography of the Hebrew Book and does not appear in the National Library.
Condition: Good. A tear with omission in the left upper corner of the leaf, with no damage to text.
