Yiddish proclamation calling to save the 40,000 Jewish residents of Jerusalem from the famine that had begun in 1911.
The proclamation is signed by thirty eight rabbis and leaders of American communities.
At the end of the document, in handwriting, beside each of the signatories, the amount of money that his community had raised.

Condition: The margins are slightly torn with damage to the inscriptions.
