On the title page, signature-like stamps of the aforementioned Rabbi Shmuel Konorati.
Rabbi David ben Shimon (1826-1880) one of the most prominent rabbis of the Ma'arav. In 1854 he immigrated to the Land of Israel and settled in Jerusalem, where he founded the first synagogue of the Ma'aravim community.
Due to his modesty, the Rabbi did not sign his name on the books he wrote; rather he called himself "Me'at Dvash" (Dvash – the initials of David ben Shimon).
The only book that was printed during his lifetime was "Sha'ar Ha'Chatzer".

The copy of the book lacks the last 28 leaves "Ulam Ha'Sha'ar", which some of the copies lack.
