Beit Efrayim Responsa – the Copy of Rabbi Moshe Ha'Levi Pollack Av Beit Din of Bonyhad – with His Handwritten Signature and Glosses
Beit Efrayim Responsa, by Rabbi Efrayim Zalman Margaliyot. Fourth section Choshen Mishpat. Lemberg 1818. First edition.
On the title page of the book, a signature: "Moshe ben Itzchak …" – Rabbi Moshe Ha'Levi Pollack Av Beit Din of Bonyhad (1845-1889), a disciple of the "Ketav Sofer".
On the Forsazt leaf, a long inscription handwritten by his disciple: "Yehoshua Segal … of the children of the holy community of Bonyhad who studies with the Rabbi … Moshe Ha'Levi Pollack …"
Among the leaves of the book, several glosses in handwriting similar to the handwriting of Rabbi Moshe Ha'Levi Pollack. Several other glosses were most likely handwritten by his above disciple.
Condition: Good. Worn binding. Stains and worn margins.
