Rare Torah Pointer - Copper and Brass, Austria - the Late 19th Century
Made of copper and brass (remnants of silver-plating).
Most Torah pointers in Europe were made of silver. The item before us is made of cheap materials, so as to respond to the needs of people with limited resources.
Engraved decorations of leaves and geometrical shapes on the handle.
A ring for a chain is welded on the "hand".
Condition: Good. Several small dents.
