Be'er Yitzchak on Tractate Mikvaot and Talmudical Sugyot. Manuscript
Novellae on the Talmud, including a comprehensive composition on Tractate Mikvaot by Rabbi Yitzchak Avish of Bonyhad.
Large book (33 cm.) about 250 leaves. Partially in the author's hand, with title page and printing instructions by the author.
Rabbi Yitzchak Avish [1870-1944] was a disciple of prominent Hungarian Torah scholars including the "Shevet Sofer", Rabbi Eliezer Zussman Sofer, av"d Paks and Rabbi Shmuel Ehrenfeld av"d Mattersdorf. He was an outstanding Torah scholar and respected personage, a leader of the Bonyhád community. He died in Auschwitz on the 18th of Tammuz, 1944. [Refer to the list of the disciples of the Shevet Sofer in "HaChatam Sofer V'Talmidav", p. 584.]
The Be'er Yitzchak on Mikvaot was printed within the author's "Torat Yitzchak" [Brooklyn, 1981]; however, it seems that not all of the novellae in this book were printed.
Most of the leaves are detached from the binding. Fine condition.
