The text of the Mishnah is in square font. The commentary is in "Rashi" font. The first word of Seder Nezikin is decorated.
The Demai tractate, second chapter [1] leaf.
Shvu'ot, Eduyot, Avodah Zara, Horayot and Avot tractates. [18] leaves. (Begins at the middle of the Shvu'ot tractate: booklet 24: 3 leavs. Booklet 25L 6 leaves (complete). Booklet 26: 9 leaves (complete))
Baba Kama and Baba Metziah tractates. [7] leaves. (only the first leaf of booklet 20 which contains 8 leaves is missing).
This edition is the first edition of Maimonides' commentary on the Mishnah. The commentary was translated from Arabic into Hebrew by different translators. The beginning of the Mishnah and the first five tractates (Berachot, Peah, Demai, Kilayim and Shvi'it) were translated by Rabbi Yehuda Alharizi in the author's lifetime. Seder Nezikin except for the Avot tractate was translated by Rabbi Shlomo ben Rabbi Yosef Ben Ya'akov. The Avot tractate and "Shmonah Prakin" were translated by Rabbi Shmuel ibn Tibbon.
There are several handwritten glosses and corrections.
A total of [26] leaves.
Maximum size: 32 cm.
Condition: Good. The margins of the leaves are professionally restored. Stains. Bright leaves. Healthy margins.
