Crown for a Torah scroll. Hallmarked silver with three stamps, repousse, cut-out and cast. Rare.
The crown’s arms are decorated with a pattern of leaves and plants. At its top is a decoration of Moshe Rabbenu holding the Tablets of the Covenant (possibly a later addition), and beneath it, within the crown, a bell is hanging.
Engraving around the base: “Keter Torah [A Torah Crown]”. Each letter is engraved separately, in a designated medallion.
On the underside of the bottom rim is an engraving: “M.BIANCHE, M.BAYAR 1779” - apparently the names of the original owners.

Height: 15 cm.
Diameter of the base: 12 cm.
Diameter of the crown’s center: 15.5 cm.
Weight: 321 grams.

Condition: Very Good. Minor blemishes and dents.
