Large manuscript, containing halachic novaelle and halachic responsa on the Even HaEzer and Choshen Mishpat sections of the Tur and Shulchan Aruch. Tunis, first half of the 19th century.
We have not succeeded in identifying the author, but there is no doubt that he was one of the leaders of the community and one of the great Dayanim of Tunis. Among the leaves are various indications of the author’s greatness and the period in which he lived.
Two columns per page. Many of the leaves have comments and additions in the page margins.

Without a doubt, this is a historical discovery: a work in manuscript form of one of the great Tunisian sages, which has never been printed!
A line was drawn in ink on each of the book’s columns (at the time), we do not know why.
95 large leaves, written on both sides. 30 cm.
The beginning of the work is missing and it begins on page 5.
Condition: Varies by leaf, good-fair. Moth holes with varying damage to text. Wear and stains. Without a binding. Detached leaves.
