Manuscript - Novellae on the Chagiga Tractate which has never been Printed, by One of the Rabbis of Tunis - the End of the 18th Century - Autograph
A complete manuscript - novellae and commentary on the Chagiga tractate of the Talmud, the Rashi commentary and Tosfot. The author's identity is unknown. The writer mentions the name of Rabbi Yiztchak Chadad several times. Rabbi Yitzchak Chadad was one of the prominent rabbis of Djerba, author of the book "Toldot Yitzchak" (Livorno, 1762), which was the first book on the Talmud by the Torah scholars of Djerba which was printed. The author also mentions the Mahara Ben Chaim (maybe the author of "Korban Aharon") and Rabbi Avarahm Ben Mussa, who was known for his composition on the Sotah tractate. In several places, the author mentions his teacher and rabbi [may he rest in dignity].
The manuscript was most likely written at the end of the 18th century, the early 1740's.
Important novellae in the style typical of the rabbis of Djerba and Tunis which has never been printed!

To the manuscript is attached a manuscript with Piyutim in square oriental script. The leaves were part of a large manuscript of Piyutim, since they are alphabetically numbered from 335 and onward.
