19 notebooks (and additional leaves) with Torah Novellae and religious inscriptions handwritten by Rabbi Shmuel Houminer. Some of the notebooks are drafts of his well-known books or additions to what had been printed in their first editions. Among others, "a manuscript of additions to the book "Mitzvoy Ha'Bitachon"", novellae related to the book "Eved Ha'melech" and more, drafts of letters (one from 1939), a personal diary describing his meeting with the most prominent rabbis of Jerusalem, his prayers beside Kivreu Tzaddikim and more. In one of the notebooks, he describes in detail his efforts to distribute Judaism. Another notebook contains many drafts of letters he sent to his family, some of which contain Divrei Torah and Mussar. A handwritten draft of the title page of the book "Olat Tamid" (1942) and additional interesting pages.
Rabbi Shmuel Houminer (1914-1977) was born in Jerusalem to a well-known family of the Old Yishuv. Since childhood he studied at the "Etz Chaim" Yeshiva. He was one of the disciples of Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer. He was known for his piety and virtues. Authored books on Mussar, guarding of the tongue and more. He was called "the Chafetz Chaim of Jerusalem". Among his books: "Eved Ha'Melech", "Mitzvat ha'Bitachon", "Olat Tamid".
