The third and last page from a letter in Yiddish handwritten and signed by Rabbi David Budnik to a donor about donations to the Beit Yosef Yeshiva.
On this page, Rabbi Budnik tells the donor about a plan to receive a thousand charity boxes of 'Keren Torah' (founded by Agudat Yisrael), whose revenues will stabilize the economic situation of the Yeshiva. Rabbi Budnik notes that the fund's director, Dr. Shmuel Deutchlander, has authorized the giving of the boxes. He believes that this step will help teach Torah to youngsters and will grant him the blessing of "Blessed is he who upholds the Torah."

Rabbi Budnik was born approximately in 1893. In his youth, he learnt in Radin Yeshiva and then in Novardok Yeshiva, there he became closely attached to the "Saba from Novardok," Rabbi Yosef Horovitz, and became one of his select students. With the outbreak of War World I, he left with his rabbi to Russia and helped him found Yeshivot all around the country, serving as head of Yeshiva in some of them. After the war, he returned to Poland, lived for a short time in Bialystok and helped found the Mezhritch Yeshiva. He also founded a Yeshiva in the city of Novardok, in the original building of the Yeshiva founded by the Saba. He initiated the foundation of the chain of 'Beit Yosef' Yeshivot in Dvinsk and five other cities in Latvia and managed these Yeshivot. Rabbi Budnik had plans for strengthening the Torah in Latvia; unfortunately, the destruction of the European Jewry preceded their implementation. He perished in the Holocaust together with his students.
