Among the leaves of the book, segents of novellae, additions of customs and a discussion about the author's words in the handwriting of Eabbi David Ben Shimon, called "Tzuf Dvash". On leaf 69, he writes: "See my book "Sha'ar Ha'Chatzer…"
Rabbi David Ben Shimon (1826-1880), was a rabbi who headed the North African Jewish community of Jerusalem in the Old Yishuv and established the neighbourhood Machane Yisrael.
