An interesting letter from Rabbi Isser Yehuda Unterman, Chief Rabbi of Israel, to Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv. Tevet 5730 (December 1969).

The letter deals with a matter of religious law relating to Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem. At the time, they were arranging the hospital building in a way that would enable Cohanim to enter without being defiled by a corpse in the building, and to this end, they changed the configuration of doors and windows in the building.
Rabbi Unterman reveals that some "reckless" people had publicized allegations of a halachic problem for Cohanim to enter the hospital building, when in fact there was no such problem, as the matter had been settled with Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach, Rosh Yeshivat Kol Torah. Rabbi Unterman writes in this letter that he is preparing to go back to the hospital, together with Rabbi Auerbach, and he asks Rabbi Elyashiv to join them and check that everything is properly constructed. "I arranged with Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach, that our car will arrive at Kol Torah ... and together we'll go to the hospital ... the car will then arrive at your honor’s house, since you have worked hard to get the height of the windows to determine what needs fixing, and - one who begins a Mitzvah, he is told, 'Finish!'"

Very good condition.
