Three letters from Rabbi Ovadiah Yosef, the Rishon LeTzion and Chief Rabbi of Israel. The letters are typewritten and hand-signed by Rabbi Ovadya.
Rabbi Ovadiah Yosef (1921-2013) was the Rishon LeTzion and Chief Rabbi of Israel. Famous for his remarkable vast knowledge of the Torah and his clear rulings. He gradually reached the status of one of the greatest decisors of our generation and a most influential and extraordinary spiritual leader. He stood at the head of the Council of Torah Sages and led the international Shas movement. Rabbi Ovadiah left an immense body of literature, including his major works: 'Yabia Omer' Responsa (ten volumes), 'Yechaveh Daat' Responsa (six volumes), 'Chazon Ovadiah' (eighteen volumes) and many others.
1. A letter of recommendation for the religious enterprise 'Otzar HaPoskim', "whose aim is to gather and summarize from all the responsa books on Shulchan Aruch Even Ha'Ezer." Rabbi Ovadiah notes: "At this time of expensive prices, the enterprise is in great financial distress and it is a Mitzvah to help it" (9.6.1975).
2. A letter of greeting to the Halperin family "that has initiated a campaign of checking Mezuzut on doorposts of Jewish homes" (7.6.2002).
3. An approbation for the book 'Rofeh Cholim' – the precepts of medicine and visiting the sick, by Rabbi Meir Vaanunu, a rabbi in the Sanhedria neighborhood in Jerusalem (1.8.2008).
Excellent condition (all three letters).
