Two rare coins, one small and one large, with values of 5 and 10 Mark, issued by the head of the Judenrat in the Lodz ghetto. The coins have a Star of David and the word "ghetto" (in German) on one face, and values and decorations on the other.
Currency used internally in the ghetto. Written on them in German: Der Aelteste der Juden in Litzmannstadt (Jew elders of Litzmnstadt. Litzmnstadt is Lodz).
Very good condition.
It is very difficult to find such coins in such good condition. Rare!
