Interetsing Letter by the Mayor of Bnei Berak on the Settlement of Non-Religious Immigrants in the Town

A long letter (a page and a half) by Reb Yitzchak Gerstenkorn, the founder of Bnei Berak and its mayor, to Dr. Giyora Yoseftal, the manager of the absorption section of the Aliya department of the Jewish Agency. 1950. On the official stationery of the Bnei Berak municipality. Stencil printing. Gerstenkorn's signature at the end of the letter.

In the letter, Gerstenkorn expresses his wonder at the fact that the Jewish Agency had decided that local municipalities are not authorized to close their gates to certain populations.
