Handwritten & Autographed Postcard from the Chazon Ish Inscribed Two Months Before his Passing. Bnei Brak, Elul, 1954
Handwritten and autographed postcard by Harav Avraham Yeshaya Karelitz, author of the Chazon Ish, to his student Rav Dovid Frankel.
The letter is postmarked 15 Elul, 1954, exactly two months before the Chazon Ish’s passing.
The letter opens with the Chazon Ish instructing his student to “strengthen yourself and make an effort to toil in Torah.” He concludes the letter by blessing him that he should merit to “have his eyes illuminated by Torah.”
The letter is written on a postcard. The Chazon Ish inscribed his name and address, as well as the name and address of the recipient on its verso.
