Jerusalem, 1936.

Anna Ticho (1894-1980) arrived in Eretz Israel from Vienna in 1912. Married to the ophthalmologist Abraham Albert Ticho, she and her husband hosted numerous artists and public figures in their beloved Jerusalem home, later bequeathed to the city following their deaths.
Created in the romantic tradition, Anna Ticho's art is celebrated especially for distinctive drawings of the hills of Jerusalem and her portraits of local people.
