The Chassid Rabbi Yosef Yavetz (1440-1508) was one of the greatest rabbis of Spain in the generation of the Expulsion. Studied Torah with Don Yitzchak Abravanel and was the brother-in-law of the author of the Akedas Yitzchak - Rabbi Yitzchak Arama. Rabbi Yosef was one of the pillars supporting the exiled Jews of Spain. After the expulsion he travelled with his son to many cities (Napoli, Ferrara and more) to support the exiles - financially yet mostly mentally and spiritually. Renowned are his words about simple faith: that in times of trouble, Jews who held onto their simple faith are the ones who gave their lives rather than Jews who based their faith on philosophical claims.

The holy Rav Rabbi Zvi Elimelech of Dinov (1783-1841) a leading disciple of the greatest of Chassidus the holy Rav the Chozeh of Lublin and Rabbi Mendel of Riminov, the Ohev Yisroel of Apta and the Maggid of Kozhnitz. Was born by the blessing of his holy uncle Rabbi Elimelech of Lizhensk who told his mother that he will light up the world with the light of his holy Torah and ordered her to name the baby in his name. His mother indeed named the baby in his name, adding the name 'Zvi'. The holy Rav of Lizhensk said 'Zvi is not Melech' and he will be a Chatzi Melech ... Authored the great Sefer 'Bnei Yissachar' and dozens additional compositions.
