Handsome crown for a sefer torah, filigree work by the artist “Gershi” Jerusalem, 20th century.
Made entirely by filigree work. The crown was formed entirely in the style of the famous Yemenite bride’s jewelry, at the bottom are two circles designed to fit the etzei hayim of an Ashkenazi sefer torah. Gershi Tzoref was an artist from Yemen who, after moving to Israel, began to design Judaica items in the style of Betzalel artists. His work excelled with great accuracy. Handsome, very amazing item. Height: 31cm, lower diameter: 17cm. Weight: 925g. Stamped a number of times, 925. Very good condition.
