Published by his son, Rabbi Shalom Moshe Chai Gagin.

Printed by Avraham Gagin and his partner Shmuel Ha'Levi Tzuckermman.

Approbation by the Rishon Le'Zion Rabbi Raphael Meir Panigel.

(4), 212, 233-302, (16) pp.

The author, Rabbi Chaim Avraham Gagin (1787-1848), a well-known Posek, was known for exceptional erudition. At a young age he wrote his book "Menucha Tehora" (Salonika, 1925). He became the Rishon Le'Zion in 1842 after the death of Rabbi Yehuda Navon. He fought against the Christian missionaries who were very active at the time.

Ya'akov Galis in his book "Encyclopedia Le'Chachmei Yisrael" writes that the manuscript of the book was sent to Constantinople to be printed. A fire in the house where the book was burnt everything but the book and it was eventually printed in Jerusalem.

A rare, important book.
