The Commentary of the Radak on the Torah - First Edition
Commentary on the Torah – book of Bereishit, by Rabbi David Kimchi, the Radak. First edition. Pressburg,1842.
This is what the publishers write on the title page: "This precious commentary was hidden for some six hundred years and was not seen by an eye, and it has now been found amongst the writings in the library of the king of France in the city of Paris, and it was copied from that manuscript by the great sage who is well-known Rabbi Avraham HaCohen of Pressburg, who is presently in the royal city of Paris".
Published by Rabbi Avraham Ginzburg. The introduction and the publisher's words are in German.
In the Hebrew Bibliography they estimate that the Radak did write a commentary on the other books of the Torah, and therefore the book of Bereishit is the only book with the Radak's commentary.
Condition: Excellent. Bound in a new and magnificent leather binding.
[5], 3-5, 9-40, 51-58, 68-73, 63-91 leaves. 22 cm.
