Eretz Israeli Calendar for Children for 1946-1947 (5707) - Beautiful, Impressive Illustrations reflecting the Spirit of the Times by Peretz Rushkevitz - Extremely Rare!
Calendar for 5707, 1946-1947.
The calendar is unique in three aspects: it was meant for children; it was written and illustrated in the Land of Israel; and it was designated to send regards from the homeland to Jewish children around the world. It contains impressive illustrations by Peretz Rushkevitz. Among others: Rosh Ha'Shana in the Moshava, we will build the ruins of Jerusalem, father returns home from the Brigade.
Rushkevitz published this book in 1947 and then published an additional one in 1948. It is most likely that he did not publish another one. The illustrations of the two calendars are different.
Extremely rare calendar. Has never been seen in auctions.
27 pp. 18x14 cm.
Condition: Good. The back binding has been separated from the staples.
