Poster - Large Photograph of the Well-Known Yiddisher Director and Actor Nachum Lipovsky and around it Photographs of Writers, Playwrights and Personages, among them Herzl, Shalom Aleichem and Many Others - Vilnius, the 1920's - Special and Extremely Rare!
Nachum Lipovsky came from a traditional Jewish home. He founded and directed the Yiddish theatre in Vilna, with which he travelled to various cities.
He was known for his ability to portray both Jewish and non-Jewish people and authors.
The poster portrays Lipovsky in the center and around him are 24 famous people whose works he brought to the stage or whom he portrayed.
An important, rare and beautiful item which survived from the flowering Jewish culture in Vilna and Easter Europe before some hundred years.
Condition: Very Good.
