Letter by the Rebbe Rabbi Avraham Abba Leifer of Pittsburgh
Letter handwritten and signed by the Rebbe Rabbi Avraham Abba Leifer of Pittsburgh to Rabbi Aharon Yosef Brizel in response to his letter. Among others, the Rebbe writes: "When he stands in Tel Talpiyot, please pray for us especially since we are in the midst of preparations for the wedding of our dear son Yitzchak Isaac…"
Written on official stationery. The 13th of Nissan 1968.
The Rebbe Rabbi Avraham Abba Leifer, the son of the Rebbe Rabbi Yosef Leifer, of Pittsburgh. In his youth he studied for four years with Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Friedman of Rachov and received his ordination from him. He survived World War II, while he two btorthers were killed as well as his six-year-old son. In 1966, after his father's death, he replaces him as the Rebbe of Pittsburgh.
