Manuscript - Torah Novellae from Rabbi Avraham Leib Licht of Presov
A manuscript notebook containing homiletics and novaelle on the Torah and the festivals, by Rabbi Avraham Leib Licht. [Hungary, circa.1930].
In several places in the notebook is his handwritten signature: "Avraham Leib Licht". On the last page are words of approbation from his friend, signed: "The small one Mordechai Kahana from the holy congregation of Trebisov".
Rabbi Avraham Yehuda Licht of Pressburg, a student of the "Da'at Sofer", immigrated to Israel, was a well-known Torah scholar and educator, authored many books, amongst them "Netivot HaChinuch", "Torat HaChinuch" and "Kitzur Menorat HaMeor".
It seems that this notebook was written in his youth, when he learned in the Hungarian yeshivot, and the "approbation" was also written by a young man who learned with him, from the city of Trebisov.
Over 100 written pages. The last few pages are in Latin script.
20cm.
Condition: Good general condition. Moisture stains with no damage to text. New cover.
