Books from the library of Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld are extremely rare!
Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld (1849-1932) studied in Hungary with the "Ketav Sofer" and Rabbi Avraham Shag. One of the leaders of the Haredi community in the Land of Israel, who led the vigorous battle against Enlightenment in Jerusalem.
The author, Rabbi Yehoshua Bezalel Kantorowitz (1825-1885), the grandson of Hagra immigrated to Israel in 1871 and immediately became Rosh Av Beit Din and head of the Etz Chaim Yeshiva. He lived in the Old City of Jerusalem, close to Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld.
