Torah, Nevi'im and Ketuvim, edited and made exact by Rabbi Avraham di Costa Abendana and Rabbi Yitzchak Ben Shlomo Saruk. Printing press of Avraham the honored old man, Rafael Chizkiyahu Athias. Rare.
At the beginning of the Tanach are approbations from the sages of Amsterdam, Rabbi David Yisrael Athias and Rabbi Yitzchak Chaim Dena Di Brito.
Four sections were printed in this edition: Torah, Early Prophets, Later Prophets and Ketubim. Before us the four parts are bound together. The title page of the first section and the last page of Ketubim (the end of the table of the reading of the Festivals) are missing. Early Prophets and Ketubim have special title pages (different from the copy which is registered in the Hebrew Bibliography).
At the beginning of the book is an illustrated title page which is made up of five miniature drawings of biblical stories (the Revelation at Sinai, Elijah going up to Heaven, Yosef the Viceroy of Egypt and others).
Ancient ownership inscriptions.
22.5 cm.
Condition: Good. Tears on a small number of pages, with slight damage to text.
