Anthology Sha'arei Tzion was the most important and well-known Torah monthly journal of its time. Articles by the great scholars of Israel were published in it, and first and foremost the Chief Rabbi Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak HaCohen Kook. A lot of space was dedicated to the Mussar works of Rabbi Yitzchak Blazer (the anthology's editor was his son, Rabbi Shlomo Blazer). In each edition interesting Torah news was also reported, such as updates of important rabbis who immigrated to Israel, summaries of speeches at important events and more.
Before us are the 14 issues of the first and second year of the anthology. On the issues are the signatures of Rabbi Yisrael Zissel Dvoretz (1885-1968) and his stamp, from the period of his rabbinate in cities in the Diaspora. His name also appears on the spine of the volume. Rabbi Dvoretz was the editor of the Torah journal "Tevuna". He immigrated to Israel in 1924. He was the right hand man of Rabbi Natan Zvi Finkel, the Alter of Slabodka, and greatly assisted him.
In the volume are also two issues of the monthly "Kol Yisrael" by the zealots of Jerusalem, in which are halachic articles, articles of worldview, news and articles about interesting controversies.
Condition: Good-Very Good. Cover is detached.
