Letter Handwritten and Signed by the Rebbbetzen Sarah Schneersohn, the Wife of the Rebbe, Rabbi Shalom Dovber Schneersohn and Mother of the Rebbe Rayatz
Letter in Yiddish handwritten and signed by the Rebbetzen, Mrs. Sarah Schneersohn to Rabbi Shlomo Lamb. Sivan, 1940.
Letter with more than 20 lines in her unique, curly handwriting. At the beginning of the letter, the Rebbetzen describes various sad events and troubles. Then she asks about the situation in the Land of Israel and among others, inquires as to the health of Rabbi Slonim and more.
Rebbetzen Sarah Schneersohn (1859-1942) was known as a great Tzadeket. She was the daughter of the Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak of Ovruch, the son of the "Tzemach Tzedek". In 1875, she married her relative, the Rebbe, Rabbi Shalom Dovber Schneersohn. Her son, who was named after her father, is the Rebbe Rayatz.
