Map of Eretz Yisrael and Syria with tribal divisions, fundraiser for the Va'ad HaKlali in Eretz Yisrael. 1905-1908.
47x60 cm. Large colored lithograph of Eretz Yisrael and Syria with tribal divisions, Minchat Zichron Kodesh from the Beit Va'ad HaKlali headed by Rabbi Shmuel Salant and Rabbi Eliyahu David Rabinowitz shlit"a. The Beit Va'ad HaKlali was one of the early charity organizations in Jerusalem. It was founded in 1866 for the poor of the city and unified the kollels of the Perushim and Ashkenazim. It constructed the Knesset Yisrael neighborhoods. According to the text on the lithograph, it was printed during the lifetime of Rabbi Rabinowitz who passed away in 1905. However, it also features the date 1908.
Tears with minimal loss. Fold marks. Reinforcing tape. Preserved on stiff cardboard and plastic. Moderate condition.
