Leah bat Avraham Yitzchak and her husband Chaim Yosef ben David Halevi sold the courtyard to R' Bentzion Leon, a wealthy Jerusalem resident who owned much property in the city. The courtyard, the surrounding homes, alleys and the names of its residents are described in detail, providing valuable information regarding the history of the city. The deed was arranged on 8 Sivan 1864 and was signed by Zvi Hirsch ben Aryeh and Aharon ben Avraham of Lomza.
