Special! Yerushalmi volumes of the great posek the 'Tepliker Rav' with his hand written notations. Shapiro Brothers Press. Zhytomyr 1862-1867.

Unique! 3 volumes of Talmud Yerushalmi, from Shapiro Brothers Press, grandsons of Rav of Slavita, Zhytomyr 1852-1867. From the great posek the 'Tepliker Rav' Rabbi Shimshon Aharon Polonski, who learned from it and noted his notations in the margins of the pages and signed his name at the end of some of them!


The Gaon Rabbi Yisrael Shimshon Aharon Polonski 'the Tepliker Rav' (1876-1948). From great poskim of the generation who established many great Rabbanim and poskim for generations.

Born in Poland, from family of descendants of the Holy Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Bardichev, the Holy Rabbi Pinchas of Korets, and the Holy Rabbi Nachum of Chernobyl. He was raised and learned much knowledge from the holy gaon Rabbi Shamuel Avraham Blachman (Rabbi Alter Kanstantiner). At a young age he served as Rav in many cities until he was accepted as Rav of Teplik were he served for about 20 years as Rav and abd. Later he immigrated to Israel and lived in a cellar in the Beit Yisrael neighborhood. Was renowned as a great gaon and genious. Great poskim learned from him and received 'Shimush' from him. Among them: the Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Zalmen Aurbach, Rabbi Yisrael Yaakov Fischer, Rabbi David Jungreis, Rabbi Shamuel HaLevi Wosner, the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Shalom Eliyashev, the Rishon LeTzion and gaon Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, and more.
