Archive of great collection of manuscripts from the holy gaon Rabbi Moshe Yosef Hoffman, known as the 'Pupa Dayan', admired by all as very lofty and that he merited the vision of Eliyahu HaNavi.

[14] Organized manuscripts individual sheets, some lined sheets, part with his markings and notations he wrote for himself.

The holy Rabbi Moshe Yosef Hoffman (1843-1928), known as the Pupa Dayan. Was renowned for his holiness. Received Semicha from his great Rabbi Yehuda Assad, served as Rosh Yeshiva in Serdehali. He was appointed honorably as Dayan of Pupa from 1882 till 1906. In his last 20 years he ascended to Jerusalem and toiled in Torah and Avodah in the Beit Medrash in Batai Ungarin neighborhood. He sat all day crowned with his Tefillin and wrote thousands of pages of Torah innovations placing them all in the attic of the Beit HaKnesset where they later disappeared. His name became known as a holy gaon, wonder worker, and great Tzadik and merited the vision of Eliyahu HaNavi. Among his revered disciples are known the lights of the generation: Rabbi Shabtai Sheftel Weiss of Shimoni (Nagysimonyi, Hungary), and the holy Gaon Rabbi Yehoshua Buksbaum of Galanta, Also the Rav of Jerusalem Moron Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld considered him as one of his Rabbi's.

Light tears and some pages worn. General condition good- very good.
