Unique copy from great disciples of Moron Chasam Sofer! Sefer 'Halachot Gedolot'. With special approbation of the Chasam Sofer. Vienna 1811.

Sefer 'Halachot Gedolot' printed with the endeavors of three fine and trustworthy from the Pressburg community, with special approbation from Moron Chasam Sofer. Vienna edition. 1811. Bluish paper.

Personal copy from great disciples of Moron Chasam Sofer Rabbanim from Pressburg. Many ownership signatures from the holy Gaon Rabbi Moshe Berger Kattendorf son-in-law of the great gaon Rabbi Daniel Prostitz Rosh Beit Din Pressburg, who later succeeded his father-in-law as Rosh Beit Din. Revered disciple of the Chasam Sofer. By one of the signatures he notes: this was written 1821 'When I came home from Matersdorf'.


Likewise many holy signatures from his beloved disciple the gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Zekil Pollak Rosh Yeshiva of Bonyad, who was like a family member to him, from great writers from the Torah teachings of Chasam Sofer. Was a study partner of Moron Shevet Sofer.


The copy also belonged to the Holy gaon Rabbi Yosef Klein renowned as R' Yosef Tchaba, Ravd Serdeheli and author of Divrei Yosef.

Additional ownership signatures in Latin: Ignetz [Yitzchak] Kalish from head of the community in Galanta in the begining of 1840's. Stamp 'Pressburg' in Latin.


106 pages. 36 cm. Few moth holes. Worn original cover. Very few pages faded. Spine partly disconnected. Fair - good condition.
