Collection of manuscripts of Rabbi Aharon Wallis of Skvyra, the great grandson of the Ba'al Shem Tov. The manuscripts contain interesting compilations, gematria, amusing riddles, Hassidic stories and ideas and more, in alphabetic order. The manuscript is especially impressive and combines square letters with regular ones.
The manuscript also includes letters in Yiddish and several page sin Yiddish with rhymes for Purim and words of comfort due to the difficult period (the eve of World War II). The things were probably written during the years 1909-1942 since they include an essay about an earthquake that took place in 1909 and conclude with a page of Gematria for the year of 1942 – the year the author died in.
The collection also includes letters sent to the writer which indicate that he was a Shochet in Pelfina [?].
About 100 pp. 11X17 cm.
Condition: Good. Some of the pages are worn.
