Collection of Manuscripts – Sermons for Holidays and Celebrations, Eulogies, and a Letter – Rabbi Avraham Dov Zinger Rabbinical Judge of Maade, the Student of the Ktav Sofer – 1872-1905
The author: Rabbi Avraham Dov (Ber) Zinger (1834-1905), Rabbinical Judge of Madren, the student of Rabbi Shmuel Binyamin Sofer, the rabbi of Pressburg, the author of the 'Ketav Sofer'. The author is mentioned in the 'Meshiv Devarim' Responsa by Rabbi Gershon Litsch Segal Rosenbaum, part 10, paragraph 12.
The manuscript contains notes of the author from the years 1872-1905 in which he had written sermons he had said to his community on Shabbat Ha'Gadol, Shabbat Tshuva, Jewish holidays, eulogies, Divrei Torah on Aggada and Halacha and a letter about a request to act for the observance of the Sabbath of the shops in the Dezing community.
On each part it is noted when it was said and on what occasion.
The author presents several Divrei Torah in name of his rabbi, the author of the 'Ketav Sofer'. Between the lines, one can see that it had been the author's intention to publish the manuscript: he wrote the page numbers, made corrections and glosses. Most of the manuscript is written in Yiddish intermingled with Hebrew and; a little is written only in Hebrew.
238 pp.
Condition: Very Good.
