Six Black-and-White Postcards – Publication of Auschwitz Museum – The First Series – 1947
In 1947, the Polish government decided to reconstruct the camp of Auschwitz 1 and turn it into a museum in memory of the victims. The postcards before us were issues there at the time.
The postcards depict the gates of Birkenau, the yard of the executions, the whip, Block 11, a group of workers and the sleeping quarters.
Condition: Very Good.
