Sefer Tehillim that was Given to the Students of Ohel Yosef Yitzchak during the First Shlichut to Morocco by the Rebbe's Special Shaliach Rabbi Shalom Chaskind
Sefer Tehillim published by the Yosef Lugasi Bookstore in Casablanca, Morocco. Mispagination. Taping to spine. Minor blemishes. The last leaf is taped. The flyleaf with the notation is torn and partly detached.
On the flyleaf, a touching stamp indicating the Shlichut in Morocco adjacent to the onset of the Rebbe's presidency (1952). Possibly, this Sefer Tehillim was given by the direct order of the Rebbe.
"מתנה שלוחה ממרכז צעירי אגודת חב"ד אשר על יד כ"ק אדמו"ר מליובאוויטש, רבי מנחם מענדל שניאורסאהן שליט"א, ברוקלין ניו יורק ארצות הברית. לתלמיד "אהלי יוסף יצחק - ליובאוויטש" במרוקו אשר בעיר צפרו ה' מרים זכרי, בא כח מרכז צעירי אגודת חב"ד באה"ב".
Signature of Rabbi Shalom Chaskind who as a youth was sent by the Rebbe to Morocco on a special Shlichut. When he returned, he received an order to write down his impressions from his journey and publish them in the press to demonstrate the success of Chabad (from Chabadpedia - see there).
