Rare! Complete set of the Levush. Venice 1620

All four sections of the Levush, a work by Rabbi Mordechai Yafeh on the Arba Turim. The author lived in the 15th century and named it after the verse at the end of Megillat Esther: “And Mordechai left from before the king dressed in malchut, techelet and chur and a large Ateret Zahav, a robe of butz and argaman, and the city of Shushan rejoiced and was happy”. Each section is named after one garb of Mordechai, and the work has become an important halachic source until today, and its author is named the “Baal HaLevushim”.

Printed by Johanni Kayon, Venice 1620. Catalogued as rare by the NLI. Four sections in four volumes:
Volume 1: Levush HaTechelet [v’HaChur], first [and second] section on Orech Chaim. 201, [2] leaves. Partly cut titles.
Volume 2: Levush Ateret Zahav on Yoreh De’ah. 148, [2] leaves. Partly cut titles.
Volume 3: Levush HaButz v’HaArgaman on the Even HaEzer. 87, [2] leaves in the original—this copy is missing the [2] from the end. Wide margins.
Volume 4: Levush Ir Shushan on Choshen Mishpat. 162, [2] leaves. Wide margins.

Later bindings, various defects, stains. Some volumes have worming holes or damage and tape, overall fair to good condition.
