1. Slichot for 7th Adar, “according to the minhag of the Chevra Kadisha Gomlei Chesed shel Emet, Jerusalem…”

2. Pamphlet Maamar Chesed v’Emet, “which clarifies a little the gadlus of the mitzvah, the zechut, and the benefit done by the Chevra Kadisha Gomlei Chesed shel Emet in their who are careful in respecting the dignity of the deceased…” Both printed in Jerusalem, 1905. 32, 22 leaves in the original. This copy is missing the last leaf.


Catalogued in the Rare Books section of the National Library. Illustration of the Mt. of Olives on the back of the first work. Binding loose and partially detached, overall good condition.


Rabbi Ephraim Shmuel Lerner (1879-1962) was the son of Rabbi Mordechai, he served as rosh yeshiva of the Ashkenazi kabbalistic yeshiva Sha’ar HaShamayim in Jerusalem, was a founder of the Sha’arei Chesed neighborhood there, and founded the Gra synagogue there and served there as chazan for many years.
